The Naugatuck Railroad
A prototype fan trip will take place on Friday, September 16. Arrange your own transportation to Thomaston, CT (about 45 minutes from the convention hotel) and board the Naugatuck Railroad at 10 AM. Your train will likely consist of a locomotive, two coaches and an express car with comfortable seating for about 120 people.
The train will run south to Waterville (on trackage not normally traversed), then north to Summit (Thomaston Dam), and finally return to Thomaston. The trip includes photo stops along the way and a tour of the restoration and maintenance shop. The trip will conclude around 2:00 PM.
