Inspired by Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, Germany, the Diamond Point Railways are actually three separate railways: American HO, German HO, and British 00 (1:76 ratio but same track/power as HO).  Roughly set in the transition era, these layouts are fully sceniced, and while separate, all three layouts are inter-connected.  There is a lot of animation and light along with sound and smoke effects.  This clinic includes photos and video tours of each country, highlighting trains, scenery, and special effects. Irwin will demonstrate high-tech, DCC-controlled, European locomotives and rolling stock, some of which are not readily available in the US.  The purpose-built layout room measures 18' X 25' feet.
